Itinerary

1. Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains & Tizi n’Ticka Pass

Your day begins with an early departure from Marrakech, heading south across the majestic High Atlas
Mountains. You will cross the winding Tizi n’Ticka Pass, one of the highest major road passes in
North Africa (2,260 m). Enjoy panoramic views of rugged peaks, deep valleys and traditional Berber
villages clinging to the hillsides. There will be several stops along the way for photos and short
breaks.

2. Visit of Ait Ben Haddou – UNESCO World Heritage Site

Continue towards the magnificent Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village (ksar) built from earth and
stone and surrounded by imposing defensive walls. Strategically located on the old caravan route
between the Sahara and Marrakech, Ait Ben Haddou was once an important trading post and remains a
perfect example of traditional southern Moroccan architecture.

With its dramatic landscapes and unique architecture, Ait Ben Haddou has been used as a filming
location for numerous movies and series such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia and
Game of Thrones. Stroll through the narrow alleyways, climb to the top of the ksar for
breathtaking views over the valley, and imagine life here centuries ago.

3. Ouarzazate – “The Hollywood of Morocco”

After lunch (optional, not included unless specified), the journey continues to Ouarzazate, a desert
oasis famous for its role in the international film industry. The city has served as a backdrop for
countless productions, earning it the nickname “The Hollywood of Morocco.”

Atlas Studios

Visit Atlas Studios, one of the largest film studios in the world. During a guided tour, you’ll walk
through impressive sets, see props and costumes used in famous movies, and step into locations that
have appeared on the big screen.

powerful Glaoui family. Wander through its maze of rooms and corridors to discover traditional
interior designs and learn more about the history of the Berber elite.
